I would like to comment on the recent In My View columns by [name withheld]and [another name withheld], and the letters to the editor from several left-wing writers.

Both of these columns were excellently written and as far as I could see were factual.

Letter writer [3rd correspondent] didn’t like the fact that comments by Sen. Dick Durbin were included. Instead of posting comments favorable to Durbin, she insulted the writers of these columns. Faux news (I assume that is a smart alec remark meaning Fox News) in my opinion has the best news on television.

People like [3rd correspondent] think that Fox News is totally conservative. Not true. Sean Hannity and Alan Colmes give conservative and liberal viewpoints and Geraldo Rivera and Greta Van Susteren are liberals with programs on Fox. I doubt that [3rd correspondent] has ever watched Fox News.

A couple of writers referred to one or both of these columns as “diatribes.” One of them was Milford Franks whom, in my opinion, is the king of diatribes. Give me a break.
