Can't you just hear the exasperated tone in this brief paraphrase of what ash has been declaring for years? There is simply no convincing life-at-any-costers that microscopic organisms occupy not the same status as captives, but the women forced to carry them against their will.
Apparently there is a parallel between slavery and abortion, in that one is the antithesis of the other.
While slavery involved the subjugation of African natives, abortion - specifically the option of having one – represents the emancipation of all women of childbearing age.
Whether women will be returned to the status of slavery pre Roe versus Wade may ultimately be determined by nine fallible human beings in Washington, DC. Regardless, clearly this issue will never go away. Since at this point I can only (continue to) repeat my personal stance, I’ve said all I have to say.
