ash could make quite a hobby of collecting conservatively biased frames in so-called objective news reports. The last sentence is what she calls a “throwaway.”
The headline declares, “Sen. Durbin fails to corner Alito on abortion issue.” But, reading through the article, one comes upon the exchange in which Judge Alito provides a non-response response to Sen. Durbin’s question about abortion being settled law. So which is it? Has Sen. Durbin failed to elicit an answer, or has Judge Alito failed to answer? So much for unbiased headlines. At least we now know that the romantic relationship between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt is official.
