The following was actually a reply to two letters defending Coulter’s criticism of the Spielberg movie “Munich.” ash neither saw the movie nor was interested in Coulter’s gobbledygook against a perceived boogeyman on the left. Since it was clear the issue wasn’t honest literature but a vendetta against liberals, ash addressed the subtext and ignored the content of the letters per se (which both revealingly referred to her by her first name). Thus, she hasn’t bothered to reproduce them here:

Revelations abound. Hollywood is dominated by liberals. College campuses are liberal bastions. Some magazines and newspapers are left-leaning, as are some pundits. What else? Well, what else is there?

ash has come to realize that many letters prompting her response aren’t worth bothering to reproduce, that is, that while they caused her to reflect on an issue, the statement they provoked is in and of itself. This is one of those cases. For those who are interested, the letter reprised that old false choice between accepting one’s homeland as is or abandoning it. How foolish. She has no patience with such sentiments.

What happens when you’ve invested time and energy into helping a befuddled person understand a concept only for that person not merely to shrug and say, “Sorry, I still don’t get it” but to press on with exactly the same arguments you thought you dismantled the first time?

ash is working on an expose which will contain this piece. Since it’s quite a lengthy project and nowhere near complete, she decided to post this stand-alone section meanwhile.

It’s a health clinic, although it could be any institution. It’s the government-funded alternative to private practice, which only increases the potential for mischief.
